Cruz Montoya, a registered nurse at the Aggie Health and Wellness Center, prepares the COVID-19 vaccine for a New Mexico Department of Health COVID-19 vaccination event at NMSU in January 2021. NMSU and Doña Ana Community College hosted multiple distribution events, which provided space, volunteer personnel and logistical support for the vaccination effort. The NMDOH goal is to vaccinate 160,000 people in the county.
