At the Plaza de Las Cruces in January 2023, the City of Las Cruces hosted a 2022 Quick Lane Bowl Championship Celebration to honor the Aggie football team. In head coach Jerry Kill’s first season with the Aggies, the team defeated Bowling Green, 24-19, in Detroit, Michigan. The Pride of New Mexico, along with the Sundancers and NM State Cheer squads, participated in the festivities, which included a Downtown Aggie Walk, recognition program, player autograph session and bowl trophy photo opportunity.
