As a high school coach, Sanchez was named the USA Today High School Football Coach of the Year in 2014 while at Bishop Gorman High School in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Through his two-year tenure in an Aggie uniform, Sanchez racked up 54 receptions for 741 yards and five touchdowns. Upon the conclusion of his collegiate career in the 1995 season, Sanchez served as an undergraduate assistant coach for the Aggies in 1996.
